What is Galvalume Steel Coil?
Galvalume Steel Coil is also called Al-Zn alloy coated steel coil,Aluminum Zinc steel Coil.Galvalume is an effective method of metal anti-corrosion.Galvalume steel coils are processed by hot-dip plating from cold-rolled steel coils. The coating composition is 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc and 1.6% silicon. It forms a protective coating that isolates the metal from the surrounding environment. The Aluminum zinc layer can prevent water, humidity and other elements in the air from corroding the steel.

Why we galvalume?
Quite simply, galvalume metal can make it resistant to corrosion.
Without a protective Al-Zn coating, the metal will always be exposed to the elements and will be oxidized and corroded faster. In terms of preventing corrosion, galvalume steel is an economical and effective alternative to austenitic stainless steel, aluminum and other materials


Feature of Galvalume Steel Coil
1. Super corrosion resistance: under various environmental conditions, aluminum zinc coated steel coil has excellent corrosion resistance than hot-dip galvanized steel coil with the same thickness, and its service life is 2-6 times that of ordinary galvanized steel plate. Because the microcrack of aluminum zinc plating on the deformed part is smaller than that of hot-dip galvanizing, its corrosion resistance is much higher than that of hot-dip galvanizing. In North America, there are examples of roof panels used for 20 years.

2. High temperature oxidation resistance: ordinary hot-dip galvanized products usually have a service temperature of no more than 230 ℃, and will change color when reaching 250 ℃, but aluminized zinc products can be used for a long time at 315 ℃. And there will be no discoloration or deformation;
3. High refectivity: the reflection coefficient of aluminized and zinc products is twice that of hot-dip galvanized plates. Acting as roof and panel without painting can achieve energy-saving effect;
4. Easy processing: it can be punched, cut, bent, etc.;
5. Beautiful appearance: the silver white snowflake pattern is beautiful and can be used directly without painting;
6. Good coatability: during painting, the aluminized zinc steel coil only needs to be non-oiled without pretreatment or etching. Al-Zn coating is excellent in adhesion with paint. but when coating on the galvanized steel coil, a certain pretreatment must be carried out first
7. More usable area: the density (3.75g/m3) of the coating of aluminized zinc steel coil is much smaller than that of the coating of galvanized steel coil (7.15 g / m3). Therefore, when the steel substrate and coating thickness are the same, the usable area per ton of aluminized zinc steel coil is much more than that of galvanized steel coil
