What is Wear Resistant Steel Plate?

It is a alloy steel plate,it has high wear resistance and good impact performance. It can be cut, bent, welded, etc., and can be connected with other structures by welding, plug welding, bolting, etc., which saves time in the repair . It is widely used in metallurgy, coal, cement, electricity, glass, mining, building materials, bricks and tiles and other industries.

Features:

1. High wear resistance: the wear resistance is more than 15-20 times that of ordinary steel plates, 5-10 times that of low-alloy steel plates, and 2-5 times that of high-chromium cast iron.

How is wear-resistant steel made?

Similar to other types of steel, wear-resistant steel is made of iron ore, carbon and other alloying elements.
Iron ore is melted in a blast furnace to remove undesirable substances that may be present in the ore.
During this period, carbon and other alloying elements are added.
In wear-resistant steel, there are a large amount of carbon and other alloying elements, and these added alloying elements can make the steel not easy to wear. For example, carbon helps increase the hardness and strength of steel. Chromium and manganese can help reduce wear.
In addition, alloying elements that prevent oxidation will also be added to the molten pool.
After the above steps are completed, the molten wear-resistant steel is formed, heat-treated, and cut.
